Dixon Creek Software ToolTime Readme This file contains information on new and updated features in ToolTime. Releases are listed in chronological order (most recent first). ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.96 release 05/28/2009 New Features: We have added a feature that allows the user to duplicate nameplates including all underlying assigned equipment data. Thanks to Jon Branen at Nampa Idaho WWTP for the great idea. Updates: A customer reported receiving an overflow error message on certain PM Work Order reports. Thanks to Don Dudley at Garland WWTP. This has been resolved ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.95 release 07/28/2005 Updates: A customer reported that they would get an error message reporting that the table "Vehicles" was missing even though vehicle data existed. This has been resolved ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.94 release 07/05/2005 Updates: A customer reported after installing v1.93 they couldn't get into PM or CM screens. It was reporting that it couldn't find the file D:\TOOLTIME\DATA\ANACOTE.MDB. This has been resolved ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.93 release 6/16/2005 New Features: Added a condition code list to the equipment screen and also to the PM and CM screens. When you change the condition code on a PM or CM, the code is updated on the equipment item. Only one report (Equipment List) currently uses this code for restrictions but we may be able to adapt more soon. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.92 release 11/09/2004 New Features: Added sub-totals and grand-totals for to the Inventory History (Complete) report. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.91 release 07/19/2004 Updates: A customer reported a problem with printing (and also viewing) the Equipment Data Report. The user would receive an error message saying "Can't evaluate expression" and the report would halt there. This has been resolved ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.90 release 04/26/2004 New Features: Added sub-totals and grand-totals for labor, parts, rentals and vehicle charges on selected CM work order reports. As we are told about other places where these totals would be we will update them. Added Employee Id (#1 and #2) restrictions to PM Due and other related PM reports. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.89 release 01/31/2003 Updates: A customer reported that some of the notes/comment fields allow very limited text length (in this case the Inventory screen). This has been fixed. Corrected some internal problem with two custom data entry forms. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.88 release 12/15/2002 This is a unreleased version with internal testing changes and a custom data entry form. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.87 release 09/19/2002 Updates: New Features: We have added a new selection option to the PM Due, PM Backlog and the Print PM Work Order option. A customer requested that when a date range is specified, the selected report should also include tasks of selected unit (DY, WK, MO, QU, SA, YR) that are due before the selected date range. This will allow you to look at this month's due PM's as well as any weekly tasks that are still due. We have added report margin options on the general configuration page (File | Configure | General Options). This allows the user to add an extra bit of room on their reports without customization. Be aware that certain reports are VERY cramped and will not be able to handle large changes in margins. Use this option with caution. We have added a new report named CM Work Order List (w/o Equipment) that just displays the Work Order Id, Title and the open date and closed date. We have added two new reports named Monthly Backlog Summary and Monthly Backlog Detail (by Craft). These reports collect the same selection information as the PM Due report and assemble the number of PM tasks that are due and those due more than 30 days. The Monthly Backlog Summary report displays a summary count for each year and month. The detail report breaks this information down into totals based on the craft code for the PM procedure. We have added a new report named Inventory History (Complete) that displays the transaction history for inventory items in the selected range. The transctions can occur when inventory is issued to an individual or work order, when inventory items are returned, when inventory items are transferred from an individual to a work order or when items are recived from an order. Since ToolTime does not keep individual order received history (such as when you receive an order and then a partial backorder and then the rest of the order) the transaction history will only report the date of the last receipt. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.86 release 06/10/2002 This is a unreleased version with internal testing changes and a custom data entry form and a custom report. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.85 release 05/13/2002 Updates: Some customers using ToolTime under Windows 2000 were reporting an "illegal function call" error when attempting to use the Lists | Employees screen or the Lists | Inventory screen. After some significant testing we have isolated the problem. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.84 release 01/12/2002 This is a unreleased version with internal testing changes. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.83 release 05/01/2001 Updates: An overflow occurred when the number of inventory received was greater than 32767. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.82 release 12/19/2000 This is a unreleased version with internal testing changes. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.81 release 04/20/2000 Updates: A client reported that certain open CM work orders would not appear on the Open CM Work Order report. This appears to be a problem from the original versions of ToolTime and also affected the Closed CM Work report as well. The problem occurs when the open CM work order does not have any detail associated with it (labor, materials, vehicle usage or rentals). This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.80 release 03/23/2000 Updates: Due to a typographical error, a misspelled field was being referenced in the PM update routines. A sharp-eyed client in Maui caught this. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.79 release 03/14/2000 Updates: A client reported that they would receive a "Data Mismatch" error message whenever the updated PM tasks that used hour or mileage readings. This has been fixed. A client reported that it was possible to delete all CM Work Orders and then attempt to add a new work order. At that time they get an error that says "No current record." This has been fixed. Several clients reported that their databases became corrupted. After a lengthy bit of research we have determined that the problem was in some .DLL files supplied by Microsoft. This version was created using the older, more stable versions of those .DLL files. We have been in contact with Microsoft support staff and they confirmed that their update was the cause of the data corruption. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.78 release 01/10/2000 Updates: A client reported that the screens updating PM tasks and creating PM work orders seem to be running slower. We have re-coded some of the routines and have increased the speed by quite a bit. Recently added fields to the suppliers information were not appearing properly on the name-sorted contact list. This has been fixed. The Supplier List report could not be ordered by supplier name rather than ID. This feature has been added. On CM work orders printed from under the Reports menu, the issued by field was labeled "Issued To:" This text has been changed to read "Issued By:" On MI or HR readings on the PM Assignments Screen, the numbers were being forced into an incorrect format (that of a date). This has been fixed. The PM Due By Location Report was not keeping individual equipment listings together. This has been fixed. Some reports were not working properly if they were given a pattern involving spaces at the beginning. This has been fixed. On the CM Work Order History Report, if "Both" was selected, some open work orders would not appear. This has been fixed. Added ability to restrict by location to the Closed PM Work Order Search. Removed obsolete and unused "User may select only one record from search criteria" check box from the CM Work Order Search Screen. Added ability to restrict by procedure, priority and craft to the Closed PM Work Order Report. The selection screen is now almost identical to the PM Due screen. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.77 release 12/08/99 Updates: The PM scheduling searches were still not updating properly. An error was found in the use of one of our special internal database tables. This has been fixed. From the original versions of ToolTime, the date format was always "mm/dd/yyyy" where mm is the month, dd is the day and yyyy is the year. Some of our Canadian and Australian clients would like to use a "dd/mm/yyyy" format. ToolTime now uses the Short Date format that Windows uses for its Regional Settings. We have reviewed all of the major reports and all data entry screens and it appears to honor this setting. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.75 release 10/04/99 Updates: The PM scheduling searches were not updating properly. This has been fixed. The >10% Overdue column in some of the PM Due reports was calculating incorrectly in certain circumstances. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.74 release 9/20/99 Updates: An erroneous piece of debugging code was accidently left in the select screen module for the equipment list report and several other reports. This has been fixed. The >%10 Overdue column in the PM Due report was calculating incorrectly in certain circumstances. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.73 release 9/14/99 Updates: Non-numeric Readings were causing an error in PM due reports, even when the tasks were date-based. This has been fixed. The budget, activity and project names were not appearing properly on the PM Work Order. This has been fixed. When adding an Equipment item, if an already existing ID was typed, and the location box clicked on, a loop of error messages would start. This has been fixed. When deleting a location, the title of the confirmation box read "Delete Craft." This has been fixed. In the Closed CM Work Order, the words Planned and Actual above hours, were in the wrong columns. This has been fixed. Craft selection has been added to the following reports: High Cost Report Work Order Summary Report PM Work Order History Report On the Equipment Screen, when a new location ID was entered, you would be prompted to add that to the list. If you clicked yes, the location screen would open, but without the text of the new location you already typed. This has been fixed. When adding an Equipment item, by default Nameplates are checked on now. Some From fields for report selection would not see a blank as a valid entry. This has been fixed. On the High Cost report the completion date was not always updating correctly. This has been fixed. When printing an Inventory order, sometimes an "Invalid Use of Null" message would occur. This has been fixed. Entries in the materials pull-down on the CM Work Order Screen were no longer ordered by ID. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.71 release 7/30/99 Updates: The pulldown box for materials on the CM Work Order Screen was not sorting by Spare Id. This has been fixed. The Location Id in the Location list was getting cut off on certain systems. This has been fixed. The High Cost report produced an error message (Cannot find field ''). This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.70 release 7/23/99 Updates: The date field on the Closed CM Work print overflowed into the craft field. This has been fixed. Changed the Inventory On Order Report to show only inventory items that are currently on order, not all order entires. Also added the Historical Inventory On Order Report to show all orders, including those already received. Corrected problem with incorrect locations in the PM Due Report. Removed rounding on the time in the PM Procedure Instruction Report. Corrected errors with filtering by location on the Work Order Summary Report. Added location and equipment filtering to the Daily Activity Report. Added totals to the bottom of the following reports: Daily Activity Report Work Order Summary Report High Cost Items Report Added Budget filter to Inventory On Order and Historical Inventory On Order Reports. When deleting nameplates from an equipment item, the correct entry was not always removed. This error has been fixed. If searching for CM work orders, after editing an order, the program will now return to the list of work orders found, rather than to the main screen. Correct page flow for long special instructions on the PM work orders from the Print New PM Work Orders option in the Reports menu. Added correction routine for tasks and location in the "Check Links..." option under Database Maintenance. Made temporary measure in reports for displaying criteria which are too long. Later versions will assure that the entire criteria is shown. Added a Database Maintenance option called "PM Tasks Correction." This corrects problems with null or incorrect values in the PM tasks, and performs the check link functions which involve tasks. Added new column for material costs in the High Cost Item report. Added a location column to the materials drop-down on the CM Work Order Screen. When being prompted for printing after issuing an inventory item, the default is now "No." On the Issues Screen, the Last Issued Date for an inventory item is now given. Note, this is the last issue for the item, not the selected employee. Allowed for "free-form" entries on the Inventory Orders Screen. This lets an item be entered into an order that has no matching inventory record anywhere in the system. To utilize this, when prompted whether to create a new item, select No and continue entering the order's information. Added Order by Location option to CM Work ORder Status Report. New Features: Added pager, mobile and fax phone numbers as well as e-mail address and web site address to supplier and manufacturer data entry screens. Added comment block to manufacturer data entry screen. Adapted Manufacturer Contact and Supplier Contact reports to display the new fields mentioned above. Activated a record navigation bar on the suppliers and manufacturers data entry screen. This bar allows the user to move from record to record easily and conforms with controls on other data entry screens. Added notes block to inventory data entry screen. Adapted Inventory Data report to display the new notes field mentioned above. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.62 release 4/14/99 Updates: When you select Scheduling | Closed PM Work Orders and search for work orders that span multiple dates the work orders would come up in a "strange order". We are now forcing the work orders to come up in Completion Date, Equipment Id and Procedure Number order. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.61 release 4/2/99 Updates: If an employee was entered without a name and used on a PM procedure, an "Invalid Use of Null" error would occur when you went back to the procedure or tried to assign it to an equipment item. This has been fixed. In inventory issue, if the user types in an inventory id (versus selecting it from the popup) the issue will have the wrong unit cost. This has been fixed. In inventory orders, if the user selected a purchase order id (either from the popup or by typing it in), they would be locked out from further typing in that field. This has been fixed. In inventory orders, the purchase order id popup was sorted by supplier and then by purchase order id. This has been changed to now be a straight list of id's. If you are looking for a specific supplier's purchase order, use the search feature and then pick the purchase order from the list. New Features: Added hook for specialized custom reports. To be used later. Activated the close button on the authorization code screen. If the screen is "closed", ToolTime will exit without any messages. If the user types any character or presses ESC or ENTER they will be warned that they do not have the appropriate rights, then ToolTime will exit. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.54 release 1/27/99 Updates: The Repair PMWO Data option did not fully recalculate material and vehicle costs. This has been fixed. New Features: We added a labor hours column to the Work Order Summary Report. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.52 release 12/2/98 Updates: When opening a CM Work Order that had a null value in the cost fields (this could have occurred in v1.3 or prior) the user was not able to open or edit the work order. This has been fixed. When clicking the "Complete WO" button after changes were made to the work order data, the user would receive an error message "data has changed; operation stopped". This has been fixed. If the user had a date with a bad year value (allowed in v1.43 or earlier), certain reports would break giving an error. This has been fixed. It was noted that when you create PM Work Orders (via any method) the default labor values did not calculate. This caused Work Orders to be added that had no cost, but should have. This is apparently a problem since v1.30. It has been fixed. When running a report with many criteria values, an error would occur. This was due to an unreported change in Crystal Reports that applied an artificial restriction on the length of character strings. We are temporarily cutting the criteria string to a maximum of 254 characters. We will supply a more complete fix in a future release. Another sharp-eyed client noted that on her HP DeskJet printer the lines that used to appear on the PM DUE report no longer show up. Apparently the is another unreported change in Crystal Reports and has been fixed. (Thanks Kim!) ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.51 release 11/18/98 Updates: After the v1.50 release we found a problem in adding new CM Work Orders that didn't show up in our tests. After adding more than work order, an error would occur "Text too long to paste...". This has been repaired. Deleting CM Work Orders created an error in certain conditions. This has been repaired. Adding new CM Work Orders sometimes created some strange issue dates. This has been repaired. The date columns on CM and PM Work Orders (labor, parts, rentals, etc) were too small. We have increased the column width. A sharp eyed client noticed that her reports didn't show the plant name in the title. Upon further investigation we found that this problem has persisted back to v1.3h. It is now fixed. (Thanks Rhonda!) New Features: When adding new CM Work Orders, we are now starting the sequence number at 1 and not 0. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.50 release 11/11/98 New Features: With this version, ToolTime is now certified as Year 2000 Compliant. Each copy of the software will be shipped with an agreement that states the terms of this compliance. We have replaced all of the date entry fields with newer date pulldown (combo) boxes. These boxes allow selection of data back to 1/1/100. This is due to the fact that some clients have reported dates that were entered incorrectly and they couldn't edit them. Eventually all date combo boxes will have a minimum date of 1/1/1980. We have added a new option to allow new CM work orders to be either automatically numbered (using YYYYMMDDnnn as the format where YYYY is the year, MM is the month, DD is the day and nnn is a sequential counter) or not. To activate (or deactivate) this option, see the File | Configure | General Options. If you wish to enter your own CM Work Order numbers, remove the check mark in this box. We have added a new option and enhanced another. Under File | Database Maintenance we have added Repair PMWO Data. This recalculates PM Work Order costs for all Closed PM Work Orders. Earlier versions of ToolTime (1.3a and earlier) didn't always properly calculate PM costs for these work orders. We have also added CM Work Order cost recalculation to the Repair CMWO Data option under File | Database Maintenance. These features were added after the manuals were printed but will be documented in the next manual update. Updates: When changing Interval values or Date Last Performed in the PM Assignment screen, if the task was a Non-Slip task ToolTime would calculate a new PM Due date from the last Due date. This creating some very messy Due dates. Now, if the user changes either of these values the new PM Due date is calculated as follows: Due = Last Performed + (Frequency [DY, WK, etc.] * Interval) It was reported that when attempting to Edit a CM Work Order, some users were getting an error message "Invalid Property Value". After some extensive testing we were able to duplicate the problem and have fixed it. Each report now displays the complete report restriction on the last page of the report and is not cutoff by the edge of the page. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.42 release 8/12/98 Updates: Under Lists | Equipment, when adding a second piece of equipment while viewing the nameplate information, an error would occur. Repaired problem. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.41 release 8/7/98 New Features: CM Work Orders: A configuration option has been added that allows the user to disable the automatic generation of CM Work numbers. The option is located under File | Configure | General Options. Updates: When entering labor into a CM Work Order, ToolTime would abort with a "No Current Record" error message. Repaired problem. Corrected problem with Check Links database maintenance option. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.4 release 7/1/98 New Features: PM Work Orders: The completion date is the default date for labor, materials, vehicles and rentals. CM Work Orders: The dollar value for labor is no longer displayed, for employee privacy. File, Check Links: Added routine for cleaning up old data and reporting on references to deleted locations, equipment, inventory, suppliers, etc. Updates: Equipment Screen: Nameplate data not updating properly when moving through equipment list. The problem included the manufacturer fields. Repaired problem. Equipment Data Report: Suppliers on both printed and screen copies were incorrect in the Equipment Data Report. Repaired problem. In the assigned spares section of Equipment Data Report, displayed "No Spares" on alternating lines. Repaired problem. On screen copy of the Equipment Data Report the title read "Times New Roman." Repaired problem. Made screen copy of Equipment Data Report sort the spare parts by ids. Changed size to fit smaller screens. Moved buttons to the side, rather than the bottom of the report. Equipment List Report: The selection screen for the Equipment List Report displayed incorrect range for equipment. Repaired problem. Equipment by Manufacturer: Report reformatted to list manufacturer first, then equipment id and description, then nameplate type. Sorted by manufacturer id rather than equipment id. Equipment by PM Procedure: PM Procedure id and description were not aligned with equipment id and description. Repaired problem. Equipment by Supplier Report: Eliminated duplicate supplier's name. Location List Report: Location ID and description listed in heading twice. Repaired problem. Manufacturer by Equipment Report: Reformatted to list equipment id and description, then manufacturer, then nameplate. Equipment by PM Procedure Report: Aligned PM ids and descriptions with the equipment ids and descriptions. PM Work Order Screens: When closing the last PM work order in a list of more than one task, the update routine completed the previous task, not the last one. Repaired problem. If an inventory item associated with the work order had zero entered in the quantity used, caused incorrect issues. Repaired problem. On Schedule search screen, change the Order by Location option button to a check box. PM Work Order Report: Decreased the margin for special instructions. PM Procedure Instruction Report: Employee name was not printing correctly. Repaired problem. PM Due and Backlog Reports: Percentage overdue not calculated properly. Repaired problem. PM Due report allowed page breaks in the middle of a single assignment. Repaired problem. PM Procedures by Equipment Report: When ordered by location, the location descriptions on the report were missing. Repaired problem. PM Procedures by Inventory Report: Inventory description was missing from first line. Repaired problem. PM Work Order History Report: Selection screen took a long time to load. Sped up the loading process. Tool List Report: Removed duplicate "ID and Description" heading . CM Work Order Screen: When equipment number typed into combo box, wrong information appeared on screen. Repaired problem. Total cost was not updating properly when the screen first loaded. Repaired problem. When printing both open and closed CM work orders, there was no space to either enter or print the date worked. Repaired problem. Completion date did not appear at the bottom of a close CM work order. Repaired problem. Resized CM Screen for clients with smaller screen. Rental button was cut off before. Clicking the Complete Button would overwrite a hand-entered completion date with the current date. Repaired problem. Default dates in the completion field were not being saved. Made issued dates blank in the database. Repaired problem. CM Work Order Reports: Changed out of service from reading true/false to yes/no. Correct missing location descriptions in both open and closed CM work orders. CM Work Order List: Added equipment id and description to make more useful. Report turned to landscape format to accommodate new fields. PM & CM Work Order Screens: If a new material item was added to the list, the unit cost for all material items could not be edited. Repaired problem. Inventory Screen: Behaved strangely when a non-listed location was entered for the item. Repaired problem. Inventory Reports: Along with other areas, some inventory reports were listing items which no longer existed. This was caused by faulty data which was not deleted when the inventory item was removed from the system. Checks have been placed in the code to clean up when inventory items are deleted now, and the Check Links option under the File menu will clean up these problems and notify you of other problems which cannot be automatically fixed. Inventory by Budget Report: Made cursor start out on the budget field. Inventory by Location Report: Made cursor start out on the location field. Audits Screen: Printed copy and the entry screen for an audit were not ordering properly. Repaired problem. Orders Screen: Using up/down keys to select a new order from the combo box did not update the screen when tabbing off. Repaired problem. Sometimes when adding an inventory item to an order, the unit cost did not get pulled. Repaired problem. Employee Activity Report: Aligned totals for columns. Deleting: When deleting data from ToolTime, any links the data has throughout ToolTime are checked and cleaned up. Some types of information, including locations and suppliers, cannot be deleted if they are used elsewhere in ToolTime, so deletion will be halted. Upper/lowercase: In combo boxes throughout ToolTime, sometimes data could be typed directly into the box. The desired record would be selected, but the capitalization of the id would not necessarily match the actual record. Repaired problem. Known Bugs: CM Screen: After adding a new CM work order, an error may occur if you use the labor, material, vehicle or rental grids. The problem comes from trying to change a value such as the date worked or amount used after adding the new row to the grid. This problem can be avoided by tabbing to a new row immediately after adding to the grid. Once a blank row has appeared below your new row, you can freely change values. The problem only occurs when trying to change values on a row that was just added. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.3h release 4/14/98 (and prior dates) This release was built incrementally and repairs applied as they were found. New Features: None. Updates: Changed copyright information to Dixon Creek Software. Updated help file to contain new support telephone. Lists, PM Assignment: An error message (Object Not Found) appeared when the user changed data in a column and moved to the next cell. Repaired problem. File, Configure, Security Options: An error message (Data Too Long To Paste) would occur after putting in even the shortest Authorization Code. Repaired problem. Reports, PM Procedure Reports, PM Procedure by Inventory Report: An error would occur if this report was executed without any data. The user received the warning message that there wasn't any data, but went ahead and attempted to produce the report. The error was caused by mismatched parentheses. Repaired problem. File, Configure, General Options: A problem was reported when the Category Rename fields (Budget, Activity and Project) were not filled in. An error message "Invalid Use of Null" occurred when the user would select any report that used these fields on the selection screen. Repaired problem. ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.3g release 12/24/97 New Features: Inventory, Orders: added quantity received (Qty) to Order detail grid. Updates: Lists, Inventory, Add: Increased width of Inventory Id box. Nameplates, Add: Increased width of Nameplate Id box. Lists, Equipment, Show Nameplates and Nameplates, Design: Tabbing within the Nameplate frame will now take you from the Topmost field moving first Left to Right, then down the page (from Left to Right). If tabbing seems to move you to fields in the wrong order, try moving your fields up or down a little until the tabbing works correctly (You can do this within the Nameplates, Design screen.) A field that is higher on the page will always come first in the tabbing order than a field that is lower. IMPORTANT** You must enter the Nameplates, Design screen and Exit for the new tabbing order to take affect. Also, any position changes you make to fields will not be recognized until you Exit the Nameplates, Design page. Reports, Cost Reports, CM Work Order History Report and PM Work Order History Report: Total Cost value corrected (previously printed blank if any of the Cost values were Null). Report files Distributed with this Version: cmwohist.rpt pmwohist.rpt ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.3f release 09/25/97 New Features: None Updates: Equipment Data Report: fixed error "String too complex". This error was happening after selecting Print or View but only with very specific data. Report files Distributed with this Version: None ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.3e release 09/22/97 New Features: None Updates: Internal upkeep; no visible changes Report files Distributed with this Version: None ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.3d release 08/26/97 New Features: None Updates: Inventory Data Report: fixed error "Object not set" Report files Distributed with this Version: None ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.3c release 08/12/97 New Features: None Updates: Inventory Audits: When adding New Audit with Order by Location checked, items are now sorted by Location first, and ID number second. Previously items were sorted by Location, but ID numbers would appear in no particular order. Inventory Turnover Report: This report has not worked correctly in past versions of ToolTime. The values for "Days on Shelf", "Days at Zero", and "Usage Per Month" have not been hooked into the ToolTime code. With the installation of this version, these report values will begin to be acquired. (Any numbers that show-up now for these values, are probably left over numbers that were converted from TUMMS data.) Days on Shelf (now Ave. Days on Shelf) = The # of units On Hand ---------------------------- Ave. # of units used per day Days at Zero (now Max. Days at Zero) = Longest # of days with 0 units On Hand (This value will start accumulating the NEXT time an inventory item goes to a zero On Hand value because of an Issue or a correction in Lists, Inventory. Note: it will take some time before Days At Zero begins to correctly represent zero inventory time periods.) Usage Per Month = Ave. # of units used over a 30 day time period Note: Blanks may show up in these fields if values are missing from your database. This may be a common problem now, but these fields will become more reliable and useful the longer you use ToolTime. CM Work Orders Screens, Materials Section: You may now return to a "dummy" Materials ID and modify the description and unit cost fields. (Before this change you could not modify these fields once you created the entry and moved off the row.) PM Work Orders Screens, Materials Section: You may now enter a Materials ID without adding it to the inventory database: this allows you to associate a "dummy" Id with a work order and change the Description and cost each time (example Id = "NA"). If you want to associate a "dummy" Materials Id with your Work Order: Enter the "dummy" Id in the Materials Id column. When asked if you want add the Id into the Inventory Database, select NO. You will then be asked if you want to save the Id with the Work Order. Select YES. Report files Distributed with this Version: turnover.rpt ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.3b release 7/3/97 New Features: Corrective Maintenance Work Order Screen: Added Meter Reading at Completion. (This works the same as the meter reading on the Closed Preventative Maintenance Work Orders screen.) Updates: Reports, Custom Reports: You may now delete all custom reports (previous versions would not allow you to delete the last remaining report). Configure General Options: Corrected path selection when double-clicking on "Directory Path for Crystal Reports Program". Corrected report selection screens to use the category renames from Configure General Options Reports, Custom Reports: Fixed problems associated with selecting DOS file name and error received when text in Report Name box was deleted Reports, Equipment Data Report: Fixed problem with Manufacturer field: manufacturer changes are now reflected in the report. Help, About: Fixed attempt to show database version when no database is selected. Nameplates, Design: Change Field Information: added more robust error handling. Equipment Form: Manufacturer ID (on some of the Nameplates): you may no longer delete an existing manufacturer id and leave it blank. CM and PM Work Orders: When adding more than one item to Labor, Materials, or Vehicles, fixed problem with focus being moved to a previous row. Report files Distributed with this Version: none ------------------------------------------------------------ TOOLTIME 1.3a release 5/28/97 New Features: Equipment Data Report: You may now view the Equipment Data Report on your screen. When generating this report, you must choose to View the report or to Print the report (although you can choose to print from the View screen). While viewing you may move through the report one page at a time by clicking the left and right arrow buttons in the bottom, left corner of the screen, but you may not skip to the last or first page. Note: there is no indication of the number of pages in the report on the view screen. This was a design decision based on the amount of time it takes to make this calculation. ** If you want to know the size of the Equipment Data Report: select Print Report (or click the printer button on the View screen).
