Releases are listed in chronological order (most recent first). ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.99.4 rereleased (09/10/2007) Updates: A customer reported that the installation file when downloaded from the website caused an error. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.99.4 release (03/30/2007) Updates: A customer reported that sometimes the semester summaries on the grade reports would truncate the last digit of the year, yielding an entry that looked like Jan/200 instead of Jan/2007. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.99.3 release (11/15/2006) Updates: An error, Invalid Property Value occurred when the user attempted to edit a course where one of the days of the week had been checked. Thanks to Debbie Buss at Christian Leadership Academy for helping with this. This has been fixed... The installation for this version corrects the problem with not registering the files properly on machine running Windows XP (replacing STXPSETUP.EXE as a seperate install). ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.99 release (06/14/2005) Updates: You weren't allowed to enter quarter ends beyond 12/31/2005. This has occurred so far with only one school. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.96 release (10/18/2004) Updates: Under certain circumstances transcript processing would fail when calculating class ranking. The .DELETE method for the queries was not allowed in mutli-user mode. This has been fixed... ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.93 release (08/12/2004) Updates: A customer reported that if a transcript is used for students prior to 1st grade would cause an error when printing the transcript. This has been fixed. Thanks to Russ Peterson at St. Francis Christian School for tracking this one down...! ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.92 release (05/28/2004) Updates: The class ranking report no longer copied the records into the report file so the report would be empty. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.91 release (12/04/2003) Updates: The security list would not allow deletion of logins. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.90 release (08/05/2003) Updates: An error occurred when class rankings were calculated for students that used to be "hidden". This would happen when the user would go to the Lists screen and uncheck the Student Status hidden flag. Then when the class ranking was calculated an error would occur on those students. This has been fixed. An additional error was found with class ranking when used with graduated students. The routine would lump all the graduated into one class even though they may have graduated in different years. This has been fixed and the transcripts class ranking is now keyed to the year of graduation and not the class or status. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.89 release (02/21/2003) Updates: There were certain internal problems that came up when SchoolTime was run on certain machines running Windows XP. We have weeded out most of them and are continuing the test for any other trouble. Thanks to Jeanne at Verde Valley School for her patience in working with me on tracking these down. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.88 release (01/15/2003) Updates: When entering attendance on the faculty screen the excused flag was not matching the code selected. This has been fixed. We have added a cleanup routine to the program STUTILS to check for and fix the flag if it doesn't match. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.87 release (12/15/2002) New Features: Added a new report named "Faculty/Course Grade Report". This produces that lists the course, student and letter grades from a list of selected instructors. Thanks to Jeanne and Molly at Verde Valley School for the suggestion. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.86 release (11/27/2002) New Features: Added new field to the Sports & Activity list for including what class (Freshman, Sophomore, etc.) the student was in when the sport or activity was taken. Thanks to Becky & Debbie at Christian Leadership Academy for the suggestion. Added a new report (under Student Reports | General Reports & Labels) named "Sports & Activity Report". This produces a report of a selected student's sports or activity involvement (if any). Thanks again to Becky & Debbie at Christian Leadership Academy for the suggestion. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.85 release (10/24/2002) Updates: A problem occurred with counting tardies & absences for courses that are not to be shown on the report cards. The report card routine would exclude attendance records for courses that do not show on the report cards. This was giving a false total tardies & absences value. This has been fixed. A similar problem occurred with all tardy/absence reports. These reports would exclude attendance records for courses that were not to show on report cards. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.84 release (08/28/2002) Updates: An error would occur when adding a class section to an an instructor with a single quote. This has been fixed. Increased the number of lines on the student schedule slips (2 per page format) from 9 to 12. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.83 release (08/12/2002) Updates: An error would occur when running progress reports for just 3rd or 4th quarter. This has been fixed. In certain circumstances, printing a transcript would produce an error that the "data was too long to paste". This has been fixed. The Parent student report continues to show students that have withdrawn or are supposed to be "hidden". This has fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.82 release (06/04/2002) Updates: We have increased the maximum number of credits allowed on a single transcript entry from 10 to 50. There were some schools that needed to put in large numbers of transfer credits from other schools and 10 was too little. Under certain conditions, the semester grade would auto- calculate to an incorrect number. This would only occur when an average grade percent would exceed 100 and the grade percents contained a decimal point. Users that put in grade percents that are whole numbers (89 versus 89.2) are not affected by this problem. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.81 release (05/21/2002) Updates: An error occurred when the system would check the database structure for the existance of a particular table or field. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.80 release (05/02/2002) Updates: If a student has never taken a class that is part of their graduation requirement, that requirement would not show in the list of requirements. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.79 release (04/04/2002) Updates: In certain cases the semester summaries section on the grade reports would show 4.00 for instead of the proper GPA. This has been fixed. New Features: Added new report 'To The Parents Of' Labels. This may be found under the Reports Menu | Student Reports | General Reports & Labels. This report prompts the user to select one or more students and prints labels to the address of parents/guardians that have the labels checkbox checked. Added the ability to sort student, parent, faculty or statement labels by either fullname (last name, first name) or by zipcode. Added new Class Ranking Report. This prompts the user to select one or more high school or junior high school class. Once selected the report will rank each of the students in the class and produce a report showing their rank, name and cumulative GPA. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.78 release (03/25/2002) This was an unreleased interim version. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.77 release (03/14/2002) Updates: Added flag to system to allow older style (single semester) grade reports to display the correct quarter grades. Faculty class rosters were showing students that were marked as being "hidden". This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.76 release (02/20/2002) Updates: When a transcript entry is marked as a "subsequently repeated class" the credits earned should reflect what was actually achieved and not be set to 0. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.75 release (02/12/2002) Updates: When a transcript entry is marked as a "subsequently repeated class" the grade achieved should only reflect in that semester's GPA. It should be ignored in all other places. This has been fixed. When an advanced placment transcript entry is marked as a "subsequently repeated class" the transcript printing should show both (H) for advanced placement and (R) for repeated. It is currently just showing the (R). This has been fixed. While entering grades under both the Faculty and Student screen, if the user entered percentage values for both the 1st and 2nd quarter (or 3rd and 4th quarter) the resulting semester percentage was not calculating as a simple average. This has been fixed. The Faculty Class Roster Report, Discipline Report (by Instructor), Faculty & Student Birthday Report and Student ONLY Birthday Report were showing students with a status that should have made them "hidden". This has been fixed. New Features: Added display values for each quarter GPA values on the appropriate tabs of Student screen. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.74 release (01/21/2002) This version added an internal change for a grade report for a specific school and has no effect on any other copies. Updates: Under Edit | Preferences, the flag for Use Adv. Placement GPA for Ranking was always defaulting to checked even though it had been checked off. This has been fixed. It was possible to create a sequence of course with the same course id. This did not cause a problem until you tried to create course sections from this group. Even though you would pick a course from the list, the software would always pick the first course with the same id. It is recommended that you attempt to keep your course id's unique. This has been fixed. New Features: Added new version of MS-DOS Grade collection program that only collects numeric percentage as opposed to letter grades only. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.73 release (12/18/2001) Updates: Several attendance reports were showing students with a status that should have made them "hidden". This has been fixed. The Absent/Tardy Report (by Student with Totals) was not showing the correct counts when the user would change absent/tardy/excused in the Attendance tab on the Student screen. This was caused by the flags changing but the actual attendance code was not changed. The reports now use the flags for their count. The grid in the Attendance tab on the Student screen has been changed to force the user to change the code and not the flags. This will clear up future problems. New Features: ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.72 release 11/20/2001 This version added an internal change for a transcript for a specific school and has no effect on any other copies. Updates: New Features: ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.71 release 11/16/2001 Updates: The Edit | Preferences screen would give an Invalid Use of Null if any of the GPA's were empty. This has been fixed. Academic GPA's (listed on some transcripts) were not calculating properly for advanced placement courses. This has been fixed. The perfect attendance report was not showing the proper entries. This has been fixed. New Features: ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.70 release 11/05/2001 Updates: Grade Reports were not showing the correct citizenship codes or descriptions. This has been fixed. Added pulldown for current grade to selection screen for Honor Roll, Academic Warning and other GPA related reports. This corrects a problem with using the wrong GPA for calculating who is on the list. Added a notes box to the selection screen. This is used on certain custom grade reports and is not always available for use. New Features: ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.68 release 10/29/2001 Updates: Transcript entries with the Repeated flag checked were being used to calculate the semester GPA. This has been fixed. Class rankings that "appeared" to match exactly would not always be grouped together when using advanced placement grading. This has been fixed. Changed title of "Class Grade Updated Sheet (By Faculty)" to "Grade Record Entry Report" to match the menu title. New Features: ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.67 release 10/16/2001 This version added an internal change for a grade report for a specific school and has no effect on any other copies. Updates: New Features: ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.66 release 10/08/2001 Updates: Increased the number of classes that can be assigned to an instructor from 14 to 17. This required a change in height of the Faculty screen which requires the minimum screen resolution to be 800 x 600. New Features: ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.65 release 10/05/2001 This version added an internal change for a custom progress report for a specific school and has no effect on any other copies. Updates: New Features: ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.64 release 09/20/2001 Updates: The Absent/Tardy Report (By Student With Totals) would only show students that had tardies or absences. We have opted to show all students totals. At a later date we may allow the user to restrict whether those perfect attendance students will be shown or not. In the Student Screen, whenever a user would run a report and then click on one of the Student Screen tabs (such as Grades) they would get the error "Object variable or With block variable not set". This was not a fatal error though the data on the screen did not get refreshed properly. This has been fixed. Updates: New Features: ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.62 not released This version is a brief transicient version that makes a change in the database structure and moves directly to the next version. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.61 release 08/08/2001 Updates: Advanced placement grades weren't always carrying the weight they should. This has been fixed. On the Faculty screen, entering final exams grades for the 2nd semester would cause the 1st semester final exam grades to change. This has been fixed. GPA calculations that produced numbers such as 2.995 would display as 3.00 but would store as 2.995. When using 3.00 as the Honor Roll threshold, any student with a 2.995 GPA would be excluded even though every place where the GPA value was displayed, it displayed a 3.00. This has been fixed. The Perfect Attendance report included students that are inactive, graduated or other non-active statuses. This has been fixed. The database backup routine would sometimes not allow the user to create a backup on the local hard disk. This has been fixed. The load grade data disks failed to display the statistics for the second semester grades. This has been fixed. In grade reports that only show one semester, 3rd and 4th quarter attendance values did not show up. This has been fixed. Increased the number of classes that can be assigned to an instructor from 11 to 14. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.59 release 04/27/2001 Updates: New Features: Added message displays when printing grade reports and or transcripts. Added Repeated Course flag to transcripts. When this is selected, regardless of the letter grade, no credit is given for that class. Added Remaining column to Graduation Check tab on the Students screen. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.58 release 03/22/2001 Updates: New Features: Added second semester grade storage on both the students screen and the faculty screen. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.57 release 03/07/2001 Updates: When entering transcript data it was possible to exceed the length of certain fields and an error would occur. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.56 release 01/29/2001 Updates: In certain cases, when printing a student grade report (Report Card) users would receive a run-time error 3047 (Record is too large). This has been fixed. SchoolTime would not come up with the correct letter grade when a percent value was entered for final exam and semester grades on both the student and faculty screens. This has been fixed. New Features: Added the ability to use final exam grades in the calculation of the semester GPA. Previously, when SchoolTime calculate a semester GPA, it took into account the grades from the 1st and 2nd quarter of that semester only. The final exam grades were for historical reference only. SchoolTime now allows you to tailor the use of final exam grades into the calculation of a semester grade. Added a new program STUTILS which allows the user to perform many database functions without directly opening SchoolTime. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.55 release 12/19/2000 Updates: In the Add Course Section screen, if you selected a classroom that the capacity had not been set to any value, the user would receive an invalid use of null error. This has been fixed. Added code to intercept grade report entries that go beyond the maximum number of fields allowed. When printing student schedules slips in two-page mode, an error would occur if you selected single students that were on even numbered rows. This has been fixed. New Features: Added a single decimal place to the grade percentage allowing entry of values such as 95.4 for grades. Added the ability to create class rankings from advanced placement courses. Previously, when SchoolTime would calculate a ranking number for display it would only use the cumulative GPA. Some schools wanted to have their advanced placement classes weighted above the regular classes for ranking purposes only. SchoolTime now allows you to indicate that a course or transcript entry is an advanced placement course. When a transcript is produced it can use the previous ranking method or use the new advanced placement method. Added excused and unexcused counts to all the attendance reports. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.54 release 9/7/2000 Updates: In the Calendar module, selecting a time from the popups would cause an error. This occurs when you select a start time that is later than the end time. This has been fixed. The open database option would allow the user to open the STSYSTEM.MDB which would cause an error. Added code to not allow the user to open this file. New Features: Added backup database option. Added the date of the last backup on the main menu screen. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.53 release 6/27/2000 Updates: The Medical Information tab was not refreshing it's data at the proper time, causing data to appear out of order. This has been fixed. When changing from one database to another the short database name was not being stored. This caused the display database name that appears at the top of each screen to hold the previous filename. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.52 release 5/03/2000 Updates: Pressing any key on the School Calendar screen (and other date related popup) would cause the help screen to automatically come up. This has been fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.51 release 4/25/2000 Updates: This release includes an updated version of the printed manual as well as the online documentation. The documentation now matches the current features of SchoolTime. ------------------------------------------------------------ SCHOOLTIME 1.50 release 4/13/2000 Updates: The titles of the selection screens for the Class Roster Report, Master Schedule Report (1 Page/Instructor), Attendance Entry Report, Course Sections Report (Sorted by Instructor). These have been fixed. A syntax error occured when running the Progress Reports. This has been fixed. The Classroom field was not appearing on any of the Course Sections reports. This has been fixed. The financial reports Account Holders Labels, List of Accounts, Report, Transaction Ledger Report and Assigned Recurring Charges Report where no prompting from a list of account holders (parents). This has been fixed. GPA values were miscalulating when an F grade appeared. This was due to the addition of some new fields.
